Security

Locked down by design.

We put AI to work on mission-critical networks. That only works if the AI itself is the most locked-down thing in the building. Here is exactly how we do it — in plain language.

Not another AI agent framework.

You may have read about self-hosted AI agents left exposed on the internet by the tens of thousands — leaked keys, malicious plugins, remote takeovers. Those stories are real, and they are exactly why we built Admin42 the opposite way.

General-purpose agent frameworks are built to do anything, connect to everything, and accept extensions from anyone. That is a fine way to build a hobby assistant. It is the wrong way to build something you trust with a school district's network.

Admin42 specialists are narrow on purpose, closed on purpose, and quiet on purpose.

Five commitments.

  • No autonomous action.

NELDA recommends. You approve. Every change to your environment goes through a human — no exceptions, by design. An attacker who somehow reached a specialist would still face the same wall you control: nothing executes without approval.

  • Nothing listens.

The specialist on your network makes outbound connections only — it phones home over an encrypted tunnel. No inbound ports, no exposed dashboards, no gateway sitting on the internet waiting to be found.

  • No plugin marketplace.

Every capability in an Admin42 specialist is built, reviewed, and shipped by Admin42. There is nothing to sideload and no third-party skill store to poison. What we ship is what runs.

  • Your data stays yours.

One dedicated instance per customer — your data never shares a server, a database, or a virtual machine with anyone else's. Run your AI models on your own hardware and your network data never leaves your building.

  • Locked-down access.

Sign in with the Google or Microsoft accounts your organization already manages. Multi-factor authentication is enforced, not optional. Every administrative action is logged, and the audit trail is yours to inspect.

Security is not a feature. It is the product.

Our customers are the organizations least able to absorb a breach: the school district with one IT person, the small shop where the network is the business. When they hand any part of that responsibility to an AI, the AI has to be harder to break than what it replaced.

That is the bar we build to. If a design choice ever comes down to convenience or safety, safety wins — and we will tell you plainly when it costs you a convenience.
